Scapegoats were one of nearly four dozen Northern California and Nevada bands featured on the Faulty Products distributed Alternative Tentacles LP, NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. Formed in early 1981 in Santa Cruz, California, Scapegoats had short life of only about two years. But in those two years they managed to record a substantial amount of material.
In their two years the band consisted of two constants: vocalist/guiatrist "Soave Loco" and bassist/vocalist Henry Hample. The long string of drummers included Mark "The Fog" Falge, Joey Peters and Michael Litton.

In what could only be described as a "curious twist of events," Scapegoats are riding on a crest of interest nearly 20 years after they disbanded. An internet-based reissue label, dedicated to the preservation of America's 1980s punk heritage has released an album (see the link below). None are more surprised than the band members themselves, especially Henry Hample who still works as a freelance musician (playing a variety of styles that would surprise his harcore fans)...

Unfortuantely we could only find a couple links dedicated to Scapegoats. But they're pretty good ones, unlike the "stretches" we usually have to pull with many of the artists on NOT SO QUIET... (beware, web searches will turn up about a half dozen other bands named Scapegoats from around the world):
