Fresno's NBJ (which stood for Nazi Bitch and the Jews) were one
of nearly four dozen Northern California and Nevada bands featured on the Faulty Products distributed
Alternative Tentacles LP, NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT.
NBJ consisted of Annelle
Zingarelli on vocals (who died of a heroin overdose in 1984), Steve Bradshaw on Guitar, Stain (Stan)
Fairrington on Bass and June Beard on Drums. Current information and present whereabouts: unknown.
Your webmeister, Mr Bill, has fond memories of bassist Stain (Stan) Fairrington. Stan ran a small record shop
in Hanford, California, when Mr Bill was stationed at Naval Air Station Lemoore. Stan's subsequent band,
Fish Market, (which used to be an all-girl punk outfit -- get it?) even played a going away party in August, 1984, at
Hanford's La Bastille for Mr Bill when he left Lemoore to attend USC Film School. Mr Bill last
saw Stan when he interviewed The Cramps for Psychotronic magazine
(which is when and where Mr Bill took the pictures featured on The Cramps' page). A few weeks later Stan
was going to attend Mr Bill's wedding but the invitation came back "undeliverable." Sadly, Mr Bill's fears that
Stan has shed this mortal coil were recently confirmed...
