
M.I.A. was one of nearly four dozen Northern California and Nevada bands featured on the Faulty Products distributed Alternative Tentacles LP, NOT SO QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT. M.I.A. was from the American gambling mecca of Las Vegas, Nevada. The band consisted of Mike Conley (vocals), Nick Adams (guitar), Paul Schwartz (bass) and Chris Moon (drums). In 1984 M.I.A. released a split LP with the band Genocide entitled "Last Rites For Genocide and M.I.A.." Soon after the release of Last Rites, Alternative Tentacles released their debut LP, Murder In A Foreign Place. They eventually migrated to Southern California's Orange Conuty before breaking up in 1986. Chris Moon has a new Las Vegas-based punk band, The 7 Outs. In 2000, Alternative Tentacles releasesd a collection of M.I.A. tunes on CD (and double LP) entitled The Lost Boys which is still available...
